Mobility is inextricably linked to challenges such as housing development, urbanisation, sustainability, and for example, an ageing population. Services and amenities must remain accessible to all target groups. It is precisely this breadth and integrated nature of these issues, where various disciplines and interests converge, that greatly appeals to me.

Since 2000, I have been working as a consultant at the intersection of mobility. Since 2013, I have combined this role with that of team manager — first at Ecorys, where I worked for over twenty years, and since 2023 at Goudappel.

At Ecorys, my focus was on monitoring and evaluation, and on providing decision-makers with relevant information from a broad societal perspective. I also oversaw many cost-benefit analyses for a wide range of projects and regularly delivered training sessions on how to apply these methods. As a team manager, I take great satisfaction in seeing people grow, supporting them in their development, and fostering collaboration within the team.

I joined Goudappel in 2023, initially as team manager for the mobility & spatial team, and as of 1 July 2025, I have taken on the role of CEO. For me, working at Goudappel means the opportunity to make a real difference - together with passionate and enthusiastic colleagues - in addressing the complex mobility challenges facing the Netherlands. As an organisation, we are strongly committed to knowledge development, partnerships with research institutes, and a broad in-house innovation programme. And we do all this close to our clients, because it is through collaboration that we can truly make a difference in keeping public space accessible and liveable.
