Goudappel launches new company in Turkey with Sistem Global
Goudappel is launching a new company in Turkey. Together with Turkish partner Sistem Global, Goudappel announces the establishment of EuroMos Mobility, which is now operational in Istanbul. Through EuroMos Mobility, Goudappel and Sistem Global aim to tackle urban and regional mobility challenges in Turkey. Goudappel brings extensive expertise in spatial planning and mobility, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
With this expansion, Goudappel underscores its ambition to play a greater role internationally in shaping liveable cities. Turkey is the latest addition to the list of countries where Goudappel is active, alongside Belgium, Germany, Italy and the United States. In April this year, Goudappel and Sistem Global completed a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) in the Turkish city Düzce. A SUMP is a strategic framework that helps cities and regions achieve sustainable mobility. EuroMos Mobility will deliver these plans as well, in addition to traffic modelling, traffic management, and smart mobility solutions.
Dutch mobility challenges as inspiration
Turkey faces challenges such as rapid growth in car traffic, road safety concerns and urban congestion. These are issues that have been at the heart of Dutch mobility policy since the 1960s, which Goudappel has addressed since its founding in 1963. In the past five years, Goudappel has delivered more than 50 urban mobility plans. In particular, its work for major Dutch cities serves as a key source of inspiration for addressing mobility challenges in Turkey.
Local knowledge, international impact
Bas Govers, Director of International Business Development at Goudappel, states: “We are proud of our partnership with Sistem Global. By sharing innovations, knowledge, products and experience, we are working together towards creating liveable cities. Turkey faces mobility challenges similar to those the Netherlands experienced in the past. We bring the expertise, while Sistem Global provides governance and financial know-how. This combination of local expertise and international mobility insights is mutually reinforcing.”
Creating sustainable impact together
Goudappel is working closely with Sistem Global, a Turkey-based partner with strong local expertise. “We value Goudappel’s approach, which emphasises mutual respect, knowledge-sharing and local integration”, Veysel Sarici said, Managing Director of EuroMos Mobility.
“Turkish cities need safe and attractive living environments. Our priorities include improving traffic safety, raising the quality and reliability of public transport systems, and strengthening the institutional capacity of public authorities in transport modelling and planning. We also see a clear need for intelligent transport systems (ITS), and we will help steer the transition to e-mobility with a strong focus on energy efficiency across transport. That is why we develop mobility solutions that are not only technically robust, but also socially and institutionally relevant, and why we ensure that transport investments-and the mobility plans and feasibility studies that underpin them-are designed to maximise societal benefit. Only then can we achieve lasting impact.”
